Research Study Recruitment Website
I was tasked with developing a welcoming, low-friction entry point for a clinical research study concerning adolescents. Using a space-themed UI allowed us to present a critically sensitive health journey through a lens of exploration and mission-readiness.

Balancing Clinical Rigor with Approachability
Recruiting adolescents for clinical trials requires a delicate balance. The interface needs to be professional enough to gain parental trust while being engaging and un-scary enough for the participants.
Immersive “Space” Interactions
I implemented a playful, space-themed UI featuring a cartoon astronaut and a vibrant planetary system. To make the experience feel interactive rather than static, I used a combination of GSAP and CSS transforms and implemented them thoughtfully so they don’t interfere with the information on the website.
Floating Planets: I used a mouse-tracking effect so the planets subtly float around in response to the user’s cursor movements, simulating a zero-gravity environment.
Astronaut Protagonist: I implemented sticky scrolling so the astronaut follows along as you scroll.
Atmospheric Effects: I used CSS animations to create a subtle, twinkling effect for the star-filled background.
Constraints
- Internationalization (i18n) & RTL Remediation: Engineered a fully localized experience for a global audience, managing complex script-specific layouts and bidirectional text flow for Hebrew and Russian users.
